Casa Feliz Cafe & Pastries

After being stressed by the sudden flood on the road, what made my day so GV was this visit at Casa Feliz Cake & Pastries. At first glance, their venue would look somewhat "formal" but once you are able to purchase your order and grab your seat, you would be able to immediately feel the ambiance of the being "HOME". All their waiters and waitresses were very accommodating and would immediately approach you upon noticing that you are calling them or waving at them. They serve you with delicious pastries plated in a very attractive way, and last but not the least, The people at Casa Feliz are all very nice and caring.

What made my visit here more special is the weather awhile ago. Though it was slightly drizzling, I was able to feel very comfortable and somewhat "AT HOME", or perhaps, "VERY MUCH AT HOME" because not too long before I was able to reach our seat, I immediately slipped. To my surprise, their waiters and waitresses immediately assisted me and asked if I was hurt somewhere, they also immediately apologized for the slippery floor.

Aside from their impressive workers, I was also able to help myself with a serving of two of the most delicious cakes I have ever tried! First and foremost, when I saw the way they plated their cakes, I was like "Whoaah.. Dude, This establishment knows their thing!". After getting over the amazing way of  their plating for their cakes, I immediately went for a taste-test of my Oreo Cheese Cake. Man, the way the cake melts in my mouth really satisfies my cravings for a legit dessert! Despite being a picky person when it comes to sweets, Casa Feliz was able to amaze me with an Oreo Cheese Cake with the smoothest texture and a sweetness close to perfection which I have ever tried.

Next up was CJ's Pistachio Sansrival. At first, I was reluctant to have bite from his cake because it was nicely presented, but I just had to take a small bite in order to fulfill my sudden craving for sweets. As I placed that spoonful of his cake in my mouth, It felt like a festival of flavors was occurring inside me! It had the right amount of sweetness at first, then a hint of crunchiness and some kind of delicious flavor would follow as you start eating it up! This cake truly an amazing masterpiece made by the Pastry Chef of Casa Feliz!

Over-all, Casa Feliz was not only able to surprise me with their hidden flavors, but also impress me with the incredibly comfortable ambiance of their establishment and their superb customer service. I would definitely make this place one of my IDEAL Dating spots!

Cooled Off.

Well. Shit happens when you least expect them to happen. When you think things are already going your way, some people are always there to block your path and cause some major problems unto you. Like what happened to me yesterday. I don't want to blurt out some personal stuff here since it might cause some stuff. So yeah, I'll just share how I managed to chill-out and cool down this intense situation.

Firstly, I managed to do some tasks for my academic and non-academic involvements in my university. It took me quite some time, but yeah, I still finished most of em. Then chilled at this coffee shop with tea leaves. LOL. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaves. Met some friends who sneakily provides me some words of encouragements. After a while, they left and I was able to spend a few hours of pure "coffee" experience. 

After which, I went to the house of one of the closest guys to me. Spent some time watching the Game 4 of PBA while munching on Good Food. Namely, Sal (Korean bacon), Pork Barbecue, Nilagang Baboy, and the Diet Pasta. LOL. Afterwhich, we watched GGV (Gandang Gabi Vice) while drinking shots of Red Horse Beer. What caught our attention during the show was this kid who was multi-talented. No Jokes. He can sing, dance, rap and do comedic antics. All of us believe that this kid will be successful if he pursues the entertainment industry.

After the said program, we were still drinking some Red Horse. The show "Believe" of Eric Mana, one of the most unbelievable magicians in the Philippines, was aired. We were amazed at his crazy tricks and talked about how unbelievably good Eric Mana was. LOL. We were like sitting kids watching you're typical Magic Show while sipping on some Slurpee (except our drink were shots of Red Horse). We got into the mode where we wanted to be able to do his tricks at the moment, but after a few minutes, we just went back on being our selves and just enjoy the drinks and foods that were in front of us. Some time passed and we finished our last bottle, and decided to go home.

With all the things that happened today, both written and unwritten on this blog, I believe that whatever triggered my anger switch on yesterday was definitely beaten and cooled down my system. :D

Food, Movies and Booze.

This Saturday was a little bit different compared to the previous weekends. Went to Green hills and spent some time reminiscing the good old days, when we were still strolling the whole Green hills Shopping Center and the Promenade. I'd like to return to those days and chill with those people who I was with before. After some time,  Met up with my friends in-front of Happy Lemon, where I found so many "conyos" chilling. Even heard some parents critique the products of Happy Lemon.

We then ate a really feisty dinner at the America's Best Chicken, Bon Chon. Was able to eat around 6 cups of rice for a serving of 2 Chicken Chops. LOL. What is Hunger? After the dinner, a random and sudden decision was made, We decided to watch The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Come to think of it, It was my first time hitting the movie theater with my friends from Team Legit (That's the BBM group we made. LOL) 

We watched the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Man, it was awesome. At first I thought I would just sleep during the movie, but I got so much interested, I almost forgot that I have my fly open the whole time inside the Theater. Nevertheless, The movie still rocked out a lot. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just skip on writing stuff that are related and part of the movie. "NOOOOO~". LOL. 

We then decided to drink a few beers after the movie so we went to the house of our friend, which was a couple of steps away from Greenhills. Drank about 3-4 bottles of Mucho sized Red Horse, while talking about random scenes from the movies and the happenings which occured during the movie. Like, when I got to see the face of the chick on my left side since we were able to have an eye-to-eye contact due to some misunderstanding between me and my friends (THANK YOU POPCORN!). Her face was like glowing in the dark by the way. LOL. This drinking session was a little bit unusual. I know that I can still drink more beers, yet my body makes me fail to do so. I guess all the fatigue which I incurred over the week is catching up on me. Why? I don't want to brag but, I am still not drunk yet but me eyes are already hinting that I should sleep already. So my friend CJ offered to close the drinking session already and start going home.

On our way home, I was supposed to be conversing with CJ but, due to my fatigue plus the effect of the beers, I guess I fell asleep more often than not. Because I remember being in a certain area and then closed my eyes, after around a minute or 2, I suddenly woke up in front of my village. That should not happen again since it quite unpleasant and shameful; unethical to be exact.


Upon reaching home, I got stuck outside our house till my brother came. All our entrances were locked, so we had to go around to the back door. Woke up our maid to open the door for us and Voila~! I am able to compose this one! :D LOL.          

So far, So good.

Spending the first week of summer in and out of the metro was a little bit tiring but every second of those moment were worth the effort. So far I've been at Ilocos, Makati, Katipunan, Quezon City, Tagaytay, and Batangas. Spent a minimum of a day in each of those places. Man, who would've guessed that I will be able to ride such an adventure.

My trip to Ilocos this summer was one of the most unbelievable ones ever since we I went there when I was younger. Who would not feel so fly when you get to breeze through the security of NAIA as a VIP and receive a tight security as soon as you arrive at the Laoag International Airport? LOL. Then as we thought that we will be able to rest at our house at Ilocos, we did a turn to the river bordering Sarrat and Sta. Rosa, and be greeted by bottles of Emperador Light and Chivas Regal. Man, that was really worth the flight!

After which we spent the next day resting and going from one place to another, like how we spent an afternoon at Robinsons Laoag then went straight to the Fair at Sta. Rosa where my brother started gambling and lost quite a lot of cash. LOL. Our last day at Ilocos was fairly similar to our second day over there, we spent the whole morning chilling at our House at Sta. Rosa then spent the afternoon at our dad's office at Sarrat. Another VIP moment at that place by the way, LOL. We went home at around 630 in the evening through riding the plane. Then arrived at Manila at around 730. Ate our late dinner at Bacolod Inasal located at McKinley Hill(am I correct?), and finally reached our home a few minutes before 12.

The latest escapade which was at Batangas was one of the most memorable amongst my trips so far. I got to be part of a new group of young adults and make a few memorable antics with them. Well, we started fairly early since we had to meet up by 6 at Taft then spend an hour and a half to reach Tagaytay. We spent around 2-3 hours there waiting for our companions who were still at Manila. Then we drove another 2-3 hours just to reach Stilts resort at Batangas. Man, It was rather a lengthy drive but It was definitely worth it. 

We did a lot of fooling around, cooking our own food, drinking while the sun was still high and up in the sky, swam under the intense heat, took a lot of vain pictures and probably one of the best part of the trip was me getting buried under the sand. LOL. Though we weren't able to take silhouette shots during the sunset, I guess the view we saw that afternoon will surely be burned in our minds because it was one hell of a ride to reach that place.  We ended the trip with a refreshing shower, and probably sleeping through the lengthy drive from Batangas to Manila.

Such trips won't be possible if I didn't let my self to be open to a new set of ideas and network. And looking at the upcoming trips, I can say that my escapades so far, and so good~
Oh well, While waiting for the days of my flights to come I guess I'll just work my ass off to learn how to drive some of our cars~

Valentines.

There goes another Valentines Day. Saw a lot of couples staying strong and forming a lot of memorable fragments of their relationships today. But, being just an observer during days like this kinda feels a little bit dull. I really wanted to do at least a semi-special thing for all the other "independent" *ehem* SINGLE *ehem* people out there. Even if it's just a simple handing out of roses or chocolates to them, I think it would let them feel more happy and less lonely. I know i have done this act last week with a large "STAR" on me, but theres this special aura during Valentines that makes this modus somewhat different.

Well, speaking from the side of the singles, receiving a little gift would really mean something. It may be of various sizes or forms, it may even be just a plain note stating "HAPPY VALENTINES!". Being able to receive something, especially from the closest guys/ladies in a person's circle of friends, can bring a certain type of joy that could even make the "NUMB" ones shed a tear *ehem* *ehem*. 

What i am trying to pinpoint is that, Valentines is not really limited to those lovey-dovey couples walking down the streets. Valentines can be a day for all the singles out there, including me, to do something that would make their "VALENTINES" special. Let's say, singing love songs to a crowd or to your friends, giving out roses to all the people walking in the streets or corridors., or even helping your friends set-up a surprise for their spouses. It's up to you to decide on whether you'll just sulk around  in some corner or lift your heads up high while wearing a smile on your face during Valentines. As for me, I stayed the same, the one who keeps on teasing a number of his friends on their plans for today while doing a lot of studying for a hell lot of quizzes waiting for me.

And now, here I am, reading a lot of tweets and status updates from YM and facebook on how great their Valentines was. The main reason on why I suddenly got the urge to write a little something for the Valentines, or the S.A.D or the so-called Independence Day, or.. Whatever. I just hope that what ever you people did today, will probably be a whole lot better in the following years.

It's been a while since my last post. Didn't have some time to compose a short blog in the past weeks due to the sudden increase with the work loads of my subjects. Had to be quite a diligent student in order to survive the increase in my loads. Due to the change in my daily routine from being chill, to being serious, it made me quite stressed. I had quite a lot of sleepless nights these past days. But fortunately, I was able to release some of those piled up stress through spending some quality time with some good companions of mine.

Drinking a number of bottles of alcohol without thinking of the workload waiting at home was really quite an enjoyable moment. Having some friends with you who are game to join you in drinking added a lot of spice on that night. To top it off, seeing my friend making his move on this certain Miss T. was quite a fun scene to watch. LOL. This night also made my iPhone's camera stuck on this certain image. TUS much?

Anyways. Since it is already the month of love, I'd like to update my status as a member of SMP. SMP meaning, "Samahang Malamig ang Pebrero" or the Group of people with a "cold" February. LOL. It's always like this when the month of February approaches. I am always alone. Despite the happening of the Chinese New Year, I didn't feel any "happy" or "joyous" event this past days. Except for my haircut maybe. LOL.

Since I am not that mentally prepared to write another blog, I think i'll end this blog with a simple quote.

Friday Chillin'.

Went out yesterday. It was only supposed to be a day spent at school; listening to the seminar then rest at a cafe while sippin' some coffee. After-which, travel back home and sleep for the rest of the day. But that was too boring. LOL. I'd rather do something that I've missed for the whole week. "ALAK".

So to start this story of mine. Let's set the venue at Starbucks found along Taft Avenue. This is where I ate a Belgian Waffle and drank a Grande-sized Mocha Frappucino. It was quite a "sweet" meal because everything has some sort of sugar or milk in it.

Oh! I have another reason for eating at Starbucks by the way. I've completed the stickers for their Starbucks Planner Promo last Wednesday. Sadly, they were out-of-stock when I came to pick up my Planner, so I had to wait till yesterday so that I can have my own Starbucks Planner.

After eating my lunch, I had to go to my ENGLRES seminar, at the Andrew Building. It was quite boring but thanks to my iPhone, I was able to survive the 3 hours of boredom at that seminar. I left early, because the seminar was getting quite dull already. After leaving the seminar, I didn't have any sort of plan to do. Knowing that it was a Friday, I got too lazy to go home so I tried contacting a number of friends. Some of them were already somewhere else *ehem* "Sinulog" *ehem*. And most of them were  quite busy. Fortunately, Poch was game to drink. I tried bringing my friend, Mark with me so that I could cut my taxi fare by half, but he wasn't available that time. 

So I had to go to West Ave. alone and meet up with them. I arrived there at around past 3. We spent some time at the Kapunan Residence. Got to watch some really old anime, football, and some random shows when we were browsing through the channels. What interested me is the Anonymous Japanese MV that we saw. It was quite awesome and the MVs of the Philippine Music Scene are far from the one that we saw. LOL.

I'll skip the dull parts of the day and head straight down to business. We started at around 5 or 6 in the afternoon. Got to play some Pool while gulping down some Empi-Lights. It was Nasty. Never really liked the after-taste of hard drinks so I had to drink some chaser to refresh my taste buds. After some shots we had to take a short break. We got hungry. LOL. Poch asked for her maids to bring out some food. They brought out a plateful of rice, some Sinigang na Baka, and a number of hotdogs. We pigged out on em as soon as it got placed on the table.

After eating, we got back to drinking. Poch asked 2 of their drivers to join us. It was quite fun drinking with the drivers you know. You'll be quite entertained by their stories and their ways of playing some games. We even taught them how to play Poker. LOL. We are such Bad Influences. When they have understood the gist of the mechanics and some playing styles in poker, Kaps and Sugay came.

We played a few hands for poker. Luckily I won the two rounds of 40 pesos, and lost a round of 20 pesos. Making me win a total of 60 pesos. LOL. It was an achievement for me. I usually lose a lot when it comes to playing poker with real money at stake. So yeah, we just chilled right after playing poker and just spent the remaining minutes talking to one another, sharing some stories and the like. Just like the usual chilling', we get together whenever we've got free time to relieve some stress or to simply spend some time with great company.
